Cyberpunk2077
Game Review — Cyberpunk2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action RPG developed by CD Projekt Red, set in a dark, futuristic city called Night City. The game puts you in the role of V, a mercenary trying to make a name in a world full of crime, technology, and corruption. From the start, the game throws you into a mix of high-tech weapons, cybernetic upgrades, and dangerous missions that test both your skill and morality. The story is one of the strongest parts of the game. It follows V’s journey after a heist goes wrong, leaving them stuck with a digital ghost — Johnny Silverhand, a rebellious rockstar played by Keanu Reeves. Their strange connection becomes the heart of the game, as you explore who controls whom and what it means to stay human in a world ruled by machines. The story is full of emotional moments, choices that really matter, and several different endings depending on what you decide.
The world-building in Cyberpunk 2077 is impressive. Night City feels alive and realistic, filled with neon lights, crowded streets, and stories happening all around you. Every corner hides side quests, hidden messages, or small details that make the world feel deep and believable. The game mixes futuristic tech with dark, human emotions — loneliness, power, greed, and loss. The gameplay combines shooting, hacking, driving, and exploring. You can choose how you want to play — sneaky and smart, or loud and aggressive. Upgrading your cyberware and weapons feels satisfying, and some side missions are as good as the main story.
However, when Cyberpunk 2077 was first released in 2020, it had many bugs and performance problems, especially on consoles. This caused a lot of disappointment. But after several updates and patches, the game has become much more stable and enjoyable. The Phantom Liberty expansion (released later) added even more depth, fixing old issues and improving gameplay. The graphics and soundtrack are amazing. The visuals perfectly capture the cyberpunk style — bright lights, dark streets, and futuristic buildings. The music fits the mood, switching from emotional synths to fast electronic beats during fights or car chases.
Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that had a rough start but has grown into something special. It’s not just about shooting or driving — it’s about choices, identity, and survival in a world where everything can be bought or hacked.
